MPs Absenteeism and its Implications for Citizen Representation

Odekro’s MPs Absenteeism Report exposed alarming trends of chronic absenteeism among Ghana’s legislators. The situation was acute among MPs who also held various Ministerial positions. This worrying development has dire implications for effective representation of citizens by their elected law-makers and the efficient execution of Parliament’s constitutional obligations.

Lawyer and Rights Advocate Samson Anyenini will be sharing insights and thoughts on the topic “MPs Absenteeism and its implications for citizen representation” at Odekro’s next Brown Bag Series scheduled for Tuesday 24th April, 2018 at 6pm at the Kofi Annan ICT Centre to advance the national conversation on the issue.
